The staff were exceptionally pleasant. The lobby Halloween decorations were fun.
The property was clearly once pristine. I did not have time to fill out the convenient room repair card, but I would suggest that the maintenance crew should clean the moldy spots on the bathroom ceiling and repaint the room. Some of the tile around the tub was missing, and the wood on the vanity is pretty scuffed. A bit of TLC and new varnish would help it, as well as the equally scuffed kitchenette cabinetry.
I am originally from Louisiana, so I was not surprised to see a cockroach on the bathroom ceiling, but I was also disappointed. I know that southern cockroaches found inside are attracted to water sources, but perhaps visits from the local pest removal service should be increased.
And. the hairdryer did not work. I always bring my own, just in case.
If needed, we would stay at this property again, but without proper and consistent maintenance, any hotel will quickly degrade.
