"Honestly it was Terrible. I’m a single mom of 4 kids and I saved money all year for this trip. The pics were deceiving. The staff was rude to me. Breakfast was sugar and crap and when I asked for milk refill the lady was annoyed with me. Ac didn’t work well and phone didn’t turn on at all. No ice in the machines even though we checked it twice a day. When I went to front desk, nobody was there to help me. I wanted to cry at the whole waste of money"

"We were so pleasantly surprised about everything, especially the proprietors Dave and Joyce. This property is a typical, old 1950s Motor Inn on the old Camino Real. Make no mistake, it is not near the beach, but it has an intended “surfers vibe” and sits right on the Green line of the free San Clemente trolley line that runs every 15 minutes to the Califino Beach or the San Clemente pier and all points in between. "Only thing we would have appreciated was a small patch of grass for the dogs (even artificial). The dog area was difficult to find. The area was all dirt that had just had the weeds hacked down to ground level. We did appreciate being able to buy a potty pad in the office, just in case. We ended up going to charge the car and using the grass there. Parking was adequate (speed bumps seemed unnecessary and made parking a bit difficult. "We went there for Memorial Day weekend, so it was very busy. Location was great, just a short drive to the nearest beach that was really nice. Hot tub was a bit smaller than expected, so be ready to get cozy with some strangers. Pool water was perfect temperature and nice size. Breakfast was definitely a hit with the waffles, but with only one waffle maker you definitely had to wait or get lucky with the timing when there wasn’t a line of kids trying to make waffles.
