"The location is excellent!! Walker is a great city. The Country Inn is showing its age. The sink in our suite’s barroom had marks on it that looked unclean, but probably was a result of cigarette or burn damage from years ago. The lighting in the king suite room was insufficient. One small lamp. The bathtub/hydro tub was super tall which seniors can’t navigate safely. This hotel in today’s world needs an elevator to the second floor. The concrete and parking lot are showing their age. We paid a high rate for both nights, and have stayed here years ago on two occasions. The property is in decline like all older structures."

"Great small town hotel. Sits near Leech lake and the town of Walker MN. Quiet area with quick access to town and surrounding area. Clean, Friendly, and nice amenities."

"We booked a cabin for 5 days, upon arrival, apparently our cabin was double booked. So Bryan upgraded us to one of the duplexes that had 2 cabins with ajoining door. It was very nice and updated plenty of places to sleep. We also rented a pontoon. One of the days was very windy, so we did not take the pontoon out, and he comped us one of the days we reserved the pontoon for that was very nice to do. Overall, everything was good. Would definitely consider coming back to rent in the future. VERY NICE VIEWS LIVE THIS PLACE"

"To start off, staff was super helpful and understanding we were going to get their late and they accommodated for it. We get there, fantastic clean room that looks and smells like it’s out of 1985 (in a good way). Super vintage and cool. My wife and I absolutely loved it. Beds were comfy and clean with plenty of blankets as well. And the shower?? Basically a dang pressure washer! That water pressure is fantastic!! If you’re looking for a VERY reasonably priced motel, and love that old school feeling, this is the place to be. If I ever come out this way again, I’ll stay there for sure!"
