Bathroom was totally rundown and unclean. Needs to be ENTIRELY rebuilt. It was a mess. Room was adequate for "one night". I happened to look inside another room that was being readied for the next guest and it was very pleasant including the bathroom. Apparently, I was given the EXPEDIA PRICE room Breakfast was good and served with warm smiles by the staff. Good restaurants within walking distance.

I got taken in by the name ORCHID a brand with whom i have had great experiences in Mumbai and Pune. Orchid Suites HAS NO ASSOCIATION with the Orchids ii knew. So i blame myself for choosing this hotel. This is a small 2 star type of property. They have a dining area on a terrace They have room service that shuts down after 9:30 pm Their WiFi is dodgy to say the least The Entertainment in the Room is a Dish TV System that does not have popular DIGITAL Channels functional Response from the Reception is good but only after you remind ... once more ... the only thing GOOD was a clean room & a working AC (but NO TOILET ROLL in the Loo) all in all IF I WAS STRANDED and did'nt have no where to go ... i would barely stay here. NOT RECOMMENDED

Practical budget-friendly business option

I have been doing a lot of back and forth to Bangalore for short trips and have found this to be a very economical option with some nice amenities. The property is older, but the staff is very friendly, the breakfast is a nice local option every morning and the best is the open air roof terrace to enjoy the mornings. It's located fairly close to the activities of MG road and the price is close to a third of other business-oriented hotels. If you don't mind a small bit of "roughing it", this is an excellent choice and i'll continue to go there.

Great economy stay in Bangalore!

The hotel is older and just a little worn around the edges. That said, the location is great (a short walk from MG road) and the price can't be beat. But there are two reasons i'll be going back. First is a quaint rooftop where breakfast (included) gives you a relaxed open view of the city. Second is the service. It's small enough for staff to remember you and after a couple days they knew my morning routine and had my eggs and coffee ready without even asking. Staff is friendly and definitely will be back.

Location is great and my hotel room was pretty clean and well-furnished considering the reasonable price. Complimentary breakfast was pretty decent as well (mostly South Indian food). Hotel staff kept out of the way but got good housekeeping done when I was out. Minor gripe for me was that a basket of items (snacks, chips, protein bars etc.) was provided in room during check-in which seemed complimentary (no tag attached to indicate otherwise), but was actually not (I was charged the price of the snacks during check-out). The hotel entrance is also a little inconspicuous and easy to miss though the hotel building itself is huge.

Nice Place.

The overall facility was absolutely fantastic. The only issue was of the TV's set top box was not receiving consistent signal. The Staff at the hotel was super friendly and helpful.

Good value in great location

Whilst the property is located approx 30 metres off the main road (Residency Road) down a narrow pot-hole ridden street, the hotel's overall location is excellent. Also, the beds were a little hard for us. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the cleanliness of the rooms was acceptable. Quite large rooms. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment. I note they are opening a new restaurant very soon. I would be happy to stay at this property again.
