Das Hotel ist im Stil einer alten Kolonialvilla augestattet,sehr stimmig und geschmackvoll. Der Garten, der Pool, Alles sehr gepflegt. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Was uns nicht gefallen hat, waren die Preise im Restaurant (völlig überteuert!) und dass den ganzen Tag Musk lief, die ja in dieser Lautstärke nicht jedem gefällt. Schade, es könnte ein richtig superfriedlicher Ort sen.

excellent staff who could not do enough to make sure your stay was as you would want it.Pool was wonderfully warm and gardens were exquisite and very colourful. Trains were noisy but interesting and after a while you did not notice them.

Exceptional!

We had a wonderful time here and I would absolutely recommend staying a couple of nights at this villa! The atmosphere is very relaxed as this is a rather small place with only 9 rooms/villa’s or so. The service was outstanding; from the guys at the beach bringing us free ice cream and a cold beer and water when we wanted some to the servers in the restaurant who gave us the best experience we had throughout our journey in Sri Lanka. The food is amazing!! We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner and everything was soo good! The rooms are filled with everything you need, they are of size and very clean. There was not one single thing about this resort we could comment upon not liking.

Amazing boutique hotel for total relaxation!

We were completely blown away by this exclusive boutique hotel, that really lives up to the “boutique hotel” signum! The premises are absolutely stunning with very tasteful decorations and interior design. The staff is amazing – they will accommodate any wish you might have at the same time as they are professionally trained and oriented towards detail. We would especially like to mention Amila, Madusanka, Anusa who gave perfect and flexible service in the restaurant and Karu and his colleagues on the beach. The chef should have special compliments for excellent cooking! The pool is kept super clean by Karu and it was a bliss to take a swim after having fought the high waves in the ocean. We walked about 10 minutes to reach a somewhat calmer bay for a swim. The rooms don’t have glass windows or doors, and the design of the door was a bit annoying in the beginning, but once you learn how it works it was fine! But the room does get a bit dark when the door/window are closed. The turndown service team made great efforts to prevent mosquitos in the room with organic oil lamps and turned on the AC, so the room was nice and cool when we returned from dinner. A special mention to the Manager and Madusanka for arranging a early (5 a.m.) breakfast on our terrace on our departure! We didn’t expect this, and it was much appreciated! We were sad to leave and hope to come back next year to this and other Taru Villas locations!

Relaxing stay

The hotel was beautiful, well appointed and comfortable. The pool was beautiful. The railway is at the end of the garden and is occasionally noisy but I loved it. I would recommend staying here as a couple for relaxation.

Exceptional holiday destination. Well-appointed villas and helpful staff. Food is very good as well. Beach is clean and a short walk from hotel.

Excellent hotel near beach

Luxurious hotel, with nice private pool and good restaurant. Very close to the beach. However, worth noting outside the hotel there is little in the Bentota area in terms of restaurants and shops.

A little hidden piece of heaven on earth

A truly amazing place! This is more than an accommodation - this is an experience. We traveled around Sri Lanka for 14 days and this was, without a doubt, the best place. Why? Here is why! 1. Staff and the service - there wasn't anything they wouldn't do for you, and they do it with such a kindness and sincere approach it melts your heart. A special thanks to Anura in the bar and restaurant department who was just amazing, always providing great service, astonishingly attention to details and so friendly. Also, thanks to the hotel manger (so sorry for not remembering the name!) who made sure we got the most out of our stay, always assisting with a smile and a "yes, we can"-attitude! So much appreciated. But really, all the staff deserves a big thank you, it was them who really made this place amazing. :) 2. The property - just amazingly stunning and tranquil. Lovely pool, lovely garden and so well maintained. 3. The rooms - beautiful, well equip and EXCELLENT housekeeping 4. Location close to the beach - with just a stroll away you reach the beach in less than 2 minutes (and by the way, the staff even prepared sun beds for us, right at the beach and even brought us drinks!) 5. The food - oh my goodness! Just try the french toast for breakfast, or some fish dish from the evening menu and you'll understand! To summarize - just go here, you will not be disappointed!

Amazing hotel close to the beach

Perfect hotel, very close to beach. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the sun by the sea or poolside. Rooms are spotless and spacious with everything laid out well. All food is freshly cooked and the service flawless. We were looked after incredibly well by Anura and Dominic who could not do enough to help. Many thanks to all the staff.
