Ringing church bells

If you like to sleep in, this is not the place for you. The Church just next door rings it bells every half hour from 8 am. Other than that it’s nothing special but also nothing really to complain about.

Die Matratzen waren durch ich lag direkt auf der Sprungfeder und das Kinderbett wölbte sich nach unten durch. Die Ablagen waren fleckig und mit Glasrändern verseht. Es war bitter kalt, da die Heizung aus war. (Im Bad gab es gar keine Heizung) Die Rollläden mussten wir geschlossen halten, denn die Möglichkeit bestand, dass jemand durch die nicht mehr richtig abschließbaren Fenster reinkommt (die Zimmer sind direkt im Erdgeschoss, dementsprechend auch laut nachts) Der Checkin ist nur zu bestimmten Zeiten möglich, ansonsten ist abgeschlossen. Wir sind nach der ersten Nacht in ein neues Hotel für nur 10€ mehr.

Nuke Club - cool hotel - retro

We liked the area close to Nuke Club and bars good food at the bistro, my father and I felt very welcomed :)

very nice

Einfaches aber ausreichendes Zimmer... leider mit nicht wirklich viel Tageslicht, aber wenn man nur zum übernachten da ist, vollkommen zu empfehlen. Vor allem die Lage mitten in der Mitte von Friedrichshain ist super!

Pas de réception: à 10h nous avons attendu pour déposer notre bagage avant le checkin et c’était impossible . La chambre très grande et très propre mais la literie est très ancienne et les matelas à ressorts qui sont vieux de 20 ans . Personne ne parle anglais sur place . Rapport qualité prix ok

2 days in Berlin

The hotel-pension itself is very well situated, the room was clean, but still noisy (I guess because of the other people staying there). Only problem: I didn't receive any information about the check-in time. I arrived to find the place closed. So yes, it was annoying at that moment. In particular because I was thinking I was going to an actual hotel. Besides that, the price is very correct for that situation in the city, lots of cool café/bars nearby.

Bra läge och trevlig personal. Speciellt en tjej vid namn lidya gjorde vår vistelse utmärkt och hjälpte ofta till. Annars är hotellet väldigt enkelt men bra för sitt pris och med tanke på sitt läge. Nära U-bahn och några få stationer från Berlins "mitte" (centrum).

Mehr als nur ein naja ist nicht drin...

Die Empfangsdame war sehr behäbig...war nicht in der Lage, sich von ihrem Stuhl zu erheben. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sehr spartanisch und lieblos eingerichtet. Der Fernseher hatte nur zwei Sender. Im Bad gab es nicht einmal eine Ablage...das Waschbecken war sehr, sehr klein und der Seifenspender hing schief in der Wand uns war defekt.

not as good as it looked online

The hotel was a bit of a disappointment. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and the pillows thin. The walls were chipped and the bathroom was a bit shabby. The shower, though, was great, as was the water pressure that came from it. The wifi worked great throughout our stay. Our room was right next to the church which would chime every hour and half hour through the day. I believe it stopped between 23:00 and 08:00 in the morning, so if you want to sleep between those hours (and I guess most people do) then this is fine, but for us, it was a bit of an irritation. The location of the hotel though, was central to our decision to stay there. It is quite central and gives very easy access to sightseeing destinations, museums etc in the city centre. Overall, the presentation of the hotel online is quite far from the reality of our experience and that is why my ratings are fairly low. We have paid the same price for hotels of much higher quality. Oh, and for English users; there are no tea making facilities in the rooms.

Cheap but very low standard

Positive with this hotel is that it's in a good neighborhood and it's cheap. The room was also very large. The hotel is in pretty bad shape though and while we stayed there the wifi almost never worked and the lamp in our bathroom stopped working so we had to take showers in the dark. The room was very cold and the room pretty dirty. Since the reception is never open we never got any help either.

Nie wieder.

Wir haben Dreibetzimmer reserviert, aber nur zweibettzimmer bekommen. Der Kopfkissen war total dreckig und stank nach Zigaretten. igentlich anze Zimmer stank nach Zigaretten, also ganze Nacht müßten wir lüften, daraus sind zwei Erkältungen. Nie wieder!!!

Bastante bien

Bien para el precio. Muy fresquito para el calor que hacía afuera, salvo un día en que la señora de la limpieza nos encendió los radiadores y cuando llegamos por la noche parecía el infierno. Zona bien comunicada. El wifi flojeaba en ocasiones.

Cheap and cheerful

Good location (near Samariterstrasse U-Bahn station), plenty to see and do in the area (cafés, shops, clubs, parks). Big clean room with '80s furniture (bed could be more comfortable). Reception usually closed but we were free to go out and come back at all times. Wi-Fi worked perfectly well.

Poor choice

First of all, I'd made a poor choice because I chose Insor Hotel which is open only until 8:00pm. Even though I paid for this hotel, I had to go and buy another one... Next day I arrived around 3:00pm and I tried to talk with receptionist but she did not speak any English. She spoke German but I don't. Fortunately, we were able communicate in Russian. When I get to my room, the room looked like on the photo on the website. The room was fairly clean and specious. There was also a sink in that room. One thing that I don't understand at all is that there was no hot/warm water! Unbelievable... It is almost the center of Berlin, the capitol of Western country Germany, it was 2015 and there was ONLY cold water in my room... I have to say that I chose this two stars hotel just because on Expedia.com it was stated that they have free parking lot. In fact, they don't provide free parking lot. They ask clients to park the car on the street next to hotel. It is free but it is extremely difficult to find a spot. Since it is for free, everyone wants to park there. In conclusion, I don't recommend this hotel and next time, certainly, I will go to another hotel.

Nice hotel close to u-bahn

This was a very nice one with a good location close to the u-bahn and Alexanderplatz! The rooms were good and the people who worked there were sweet. The only bad thing about it was that the people who worked there wasn´t really good at english, but apperently German´s aren´t good at english anywhere..!

Das ist kein HOTEL sondern ein HOSTEL

Für diejenigen die mit einem Hostel bei der Reise rechnen ist es ok. Ich erwartete ein Hotel, also war die Entäuschung RIESIG. Die Zimmer stinkten nach altem Rauch, ist alles ein Altbau.... Rezeption, wenn man es so nennen kann, nur an paar Stunden am Tag geöffnet. Bei der Reservierung ein doppelbettzimmer gebucht, bei der Ankunft hieß es dann wenn du ein richtiges Doppelbett haben willst musst es als Sonderwunsch angeben und natürlich draufzahlen .... Beim buchen vom Zimmer ebenso angegeben dass wir frühstück haben wollen, gabs dann natürlich nicht....

Det er ikke et sted vi tager hen igen. De tog ikke visa og receptionisten kunne ikke det mindste engelsk så det gjorde det hele noget mere besværligt. Til penge var værelset fint nok. Det var kun til overnatning da vi skulle opleve berlin, så på den måde var værelset udemærket..
