"Outstanding!! I felt completely taken care of there. My food allergies usually throw a wrench into things, but Colin and Sarah put a lot of effort into making sure I had as many wonderful dishes as everyone else. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing as was the stuffed pastry dinner and delicious coleslaw. I can’t recommend this place enough. 👏👏 well done ❤️"

"The property is a gem and great choice for our stay in the Speyside area. Parking is available right across the street, and the hotel is within 10-15 mins drive from a number of distilleries and the Speyside cooperage. Staff are very friendly and we had an amazing time during our stay. The hotel restaurant and bar were great options (although plan a good amount of time as service may take a bit longer) - do check out the Spirit Safe if you're a whisky fan! "I was visiting Forres for a work event and needed a hotel nearby. The Carlton was lovely. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; check in was a breeze. The room was super clean and had all the amenities you needed. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Would thoroughly recommend this excellent hotel which is great value for money."

"The room was spotless and very comfortable. Obviously the Hotel is in transition. By and by rooms are being prepared to welcome guests. Only 11 rooms are available to book at this point. The price per room is unbelievably low. Especially since the electricity bill must be enormous. The hotel was overheated and lights were on in almost every hall, lounge and room and stayed on during the night. Heating as well as the lights. No consideration was given to the ecological impact. "
