The George Washington Hotel, A Wyndham Grand Hotel

"It's hard to pick out one thing that makes the George Washington excellent. Is it the staff? Yes. But is it the ambiance of an historic hotel? Certainly. How about the location? For sure! Can it be the memories of past stays? Oh, yes as we always celebrate our anniversary in Winchester. What about the actual room? That jacuzzi and rain forest shower, king bed, and fireplace rocks! Here's an idea...put my excellent review to the test yourself!"

"Good location. Well maintained, rooms clean, and staff friendly. Did not not like super low water pressure in shower."

"The room was clean. The bathtub/shower had cracked tiles and the chalking was sloppy with a pile up of dust. The breakfast was good. They served eggs, biscuits, ham and gravy. They also had a waffle iron and plenty of other breakfast foods."

"Had to go back to desk 2 times after checking in while my wife stood outside our room with luggage in the hall because the keys didn't work. Very frustrating! Also, only 7 channels worked on the TV, was told this was Comcast fault."

"Nice place. Room was comfortable and spacious. TV was a little tricky but with patience and perseverance I figured out I needed the confidence boost anyway after the 6,000 steps at Blackwater Falls. 👍👍"

"A convenient stay close to Rt 81 in western Virginia. Clean , comfortable and reasonable in a shopping center with quick access to the highway. Located in a shopping center with a number of food options including an Aldi and an Alamo Draft house movie theatre. The was clean , well appointed and everything worked !"
