"It looks like this hotel was excellent in the past but it was not maintained so well and the room maintenance is lacking. The sheets are not comfortable at all - they need to renew it, it's pilling and feel unclean. The shower soap was close to empty (you're not supposed to wait until it's empty before filling it up for a room) and the tab has cracks. "Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Ithaca. Unfortunately, the parking garage next to the hotel is under construction so we had to unload and then park a few blocks away. How frustrating after driving 5 hours, and on top of that once he gave us another room, he over charged us by double the amount!! "Room was interesting. Loved the spiral staircase down to the bathroom and the jacuzzi tub (stayed in the Music Room). Property is beautiful. You get a complimentary wine tasting and continental breakfast at Belhurst Castle. Check-in is at Belhurst which we didn't realize. Luckily it is only a few miles away so not a big deal to get there and back. No hotel staff at White Springs Manor. "The two room (plus bath) cabin was very nice. The bed comfortable. Ask, when booking, for a room with an unobstructed view and a fire pit on the usable side of your cabin. Our view of the lake had a cabin between us and the lake and the fire pit was on the side when our neighbors had the best view of it. The location was fine. It was just a few miles from Watkins Glen and near enough to Ithaca."
