"The hotel is a bit dated for the price. The rooms could use a face lift. The complimentary breakfast is helpful, but the offerings are very basic and it gets very, very crowded in the breakfast area making it hard to find seating and to get food. Our room wasn't ready at 4:00 and everyone else checking in at the same time as us seemed to also be having issues with their rooms not being ready. It was a mess. "The room on the first floor smelled so badly. The beds were uncomfortable. The bathroom was not clean. The breakfast was mid. One of the house keepers stole my mom white sweater after switching rooms and realizing she left it in the first room. She went back to the first room and did not find her sweater. They will charge your card for the room and the damage fee at 8am after selecting pay at property."

"We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and unfortunately had a disappointing experience overall.
At check-in, the hotel appeared understaffed. We had to wait in a long line while the receptionist was not only handling guests but also training a new staff member at the same time, which made the process slow and inefficient.

"Customers should be called or sent a text if room is not an available especially if it will not be available within 30 minutes of checkin (before or after). The refrigerator in my room didn’t work and milk for both an infant and toddler had to be thrown out. Breakfast was good though. The staff was great and so helpful and polite. "Stayed 10 days for work -
Food was terrible
Carpets in hallways have years of stain - at least the 6th floor
On 6th floor the ice machine was broke apart and flooding - also this is dumping zone for trash so cross contamination w/ ice mist likely
Had to ask for a microwave
Police called once for disturbance but should have come more than that (more on this)
Back door completely broken - anyone can come in and that is usually where people smoke weed
Room didn’t have shampoo

"The hotel is very well located in Downtown Norfolk, making it convenient for restaurants, attractions, and exploring the area.
The property could benefit from some renovations and updates. The customer service staff were friendly and courteous; however, they were unable to resolve an issue involving a supposed double check-in that appeared in their system when there was actually only one stay.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I would consider staying here again for a couple of nights...
