My room was really dirty upon arrival. The bottom of my white socks were black from the carpet, and the bathroom has peeling and scraped paint. The bathroom floors look like they had not been cleaned in a while also.

In need of a little TLC…The elevators were out of order during our stay forcing everyone to use the service elevator. Carpets on our floor were torn and stained. Some of the ice machines (located on every other floor) didn’t work so we had to go to the bar on the ground floor for ice. Not a bad stay, ...

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Birmingham Downtown
They are doing a lot of construction around hotel right now, so if you're sensitive to sounds starting at 5am then I suggest stay elsewhere until they finish.

Red Roof Inn Birmingham South
This was a great value for the price. The recently upgraded room was clean and comfortable, although I am not a big fan of heavy air freshener. The shower was hot with good water pressure. I would stay here again
