"I stayed in this hotel about 9 years ago and the difference between then and now is astonishing. The hotel needs to undergo repair, maintenance, and refurbishment...the sink in the bathroom was cracked, the toilet paper holder was broken and about to fall off the wall, and there were broken tiles around the pool outside.
The staff has also gone downhill. I attempted to set up a airport transfer a few days before the arrival (as it stated on their page that they offer an airport shuttle if you reserve it 48 hours in advance). After repeated phone calls, whatsapp messages, and emails, I could not get through to the hotel staff. I even contacted Hotels.com and they attempted to contact the hotel THREE times and could not get the hotel to answer their phone. At this point it made me worried that the hotel was not open any longer. I tried to contact them for two days and they NEVER picked up their phone or answered emails or whatsapp messages during that time. Finally the night before the arrival, they responded to an email with no explanation for their absence. They suggested that I was just dialing the wrong number.
The food was no longer as good as it was the first visit. And on the way back to the airport, the hotel insisted that they DIDN'T offer a shuttle to the airport.
It seems as though the hotel is financially failing, not training their staff, and running out of ways to fund its operations. Poor service all around."
"The staff was amazing, very attentive and helpful. The property territory is in real jungle, exotic, well maintained, beautiful. The cabin was too rustic to my taste, the bathroom is miniscule and not comfortable. Practically no space in the bedroom. Breakfast was very nice. We had a good 2 nights stay."
"Hotel that stands out for its clean rooms, comfortable beds and bathroom, and excellent location close to everything in the center of Iguazu. It features a swimming pool, gym, and other amenities that make it very attractive in an eco-friendly environment."
"The Lodge was is a beautiful setting in the forest, very peaceful and quiet. Marcos and the team helped with taxis to the falls and the town so we felt safe and looked after. Nice continental breakfast too. Would recommend."
"We stayed three nights in the 700 units. Long walk to dinner, bar, pool but the units are new, spacious and well designed. The pool and deck are showing their age but were very refreshing. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. Drinks are the bar were generous and tasty."
