I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for the ideal base for a stay in Bologna. The room was immaculate and finished to a very high standard. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel manager on available. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful building in a leafy suburb a short walk from the old town. Riccardo was very helpful and friendly. The website doesn't highlight the limited check-in times very clearly. We arrived after 8pm and Riccardo arranged for our keys to be in a lockbox which worked well. There is gated parking at the property. Our private bathroom was across the main entrance hall which was a bit weird. That's only the case for Bedroom 3 - the other rooms are ensuite. Definitely recommended.

It is next to the motorway but that didn't stop us sleeping. It is very basic but clean and friendly. We had a room at the top. Initially we are given an upgrade to a room with a sauna but someone had been smoking in it. After breakfast on two days we spent a lovely time on the terrace with me playing on my computer and my wfe painting. Not far the motorway! Served us well

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, returning to the UK on 30th October. The hotel truly lives up to its five stars. Everything, from the room, the restaurant, the facilities are excellent - however there are two things which really stand out: firstly the staff - they are amazing. They will do anything to help and they do it with a genuine smile. This applies to the lovely gentleman who opens the front doors, to the reception staff, to the breakfast staff. Secondly, don't miss breakfast!!...

This was our first time in Bologna and we knew nothing about the city’s hotels. Now having been there, we’re so glad we chose the Aemilia hotel. It’s a little outside the old centre but only a 10-15 minute walk from all the sights. Being outside the centre means that it’s quiet at night. The hotel has a Scandinavian feel to it with very clean modern lines in its furnishings. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The main thing i liked about the property is modern and stylish and very close to all amnesty. Eventhough we haven't used their restaurants for those who wants they do have restaurants and bar available. The staff speak perfect english and are very helpful. The room is clean but the toilets look dated and had some issues with the flash, basically the water doesn't stop running. I am sure it has been fixed by now, because they have a guy who goes around the rooms and check for faults.

Great location in quiet street near main square. Usual Arthotel quirky and distinctive room decor. Comfortable junior suite with unusually efficient daily room cleaning service. Excellent breakfast offering. Efficient and helpful reception. Elevator unreliable but otherwise all good.

Lovely village feel with the hotel and the castle being at the centre. There was a wedding on in the castle, they seem to have many events at the grounds. We ate in the restaurant one night which was excellent (restaurant is closed on Sundays), the room was very spacious, modern and clean with a great shower room, breakfast was simple but did the job. Getting to Bologna is not that easy without a car as the local train station has only very few trains per day and the bus stop is quite a walk. ...

Centrally located near lots of great bars and restaurants. Lovely clean apartments and well equipped. Do read the information in the kitchen. All the wine left in the fridge and kitchen is chargeable if you did not book through their website. Would have been nice to be free for all guests. Also ensure you use the shower mat when stepping out of the shower. The bathroom floor when wet is like an ice rink and unbelievably slippy. Nearly had a nasty fall.

Fantastic location just off Piazza Maggiore, very friendly staff, comfortable room with amenities. Can't fault it really.

Everything was perfect from location of hotel to the rooms and service provided would definitely stay again and recommend when staying in Bologna

The attention and helpfulness of the staff. Very friendly, efficient and courteous. Everyone in the hotel "did their bit" including the staff who cleaned the rooms. Excellent! Would thoroughly recommend.

This was perfect for a short stay in Bologna. Well situated for sightseeing, restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment was well equipped,very clean and had excellent air conditioning which was very welcome given the extremely high temperatures during our visit. Contact with the office by phone was a little frustrating as they seemed to have difficulty establishing who we were and where we were staying.

Perfect spot travelling in and out of bologna by train

Very nice hotel situated just 15 mins walk from the main square. Really friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were nicely furnished, and were kept spotlessly clean by the staff each day. The breakfast was excellent with fresh and tasty produce every day, and everything was replenished immediately. The gym was another great find with new techno gym equipment. All in all we had a fantastic stay.
