"Despite the signage and letterheads, this is not a 5-star hotel in our opinion. There are no doormen or bellboys, such staff would be very helpful navigating the 15 or so steep steps from the street to the lobby. There is no complimentary water in the room. The shower is in the bath. Used glasses were not cleaned or replaced. The room is of good size and the beds are comfortable. Location is good."

"It was outside the historic town. Not too ideal if you are a tourist with limited time. It’s near the bus and train station though so it’s also convenient. Not a lot of restaurants around the area. I travelled with young kids and it would have been better if we booked near the old city center."

"The pool was brilliant and the hotel cool, relaxed and spacious in a very hot day. The staff were very attentive and it all felt very calm. The restaurant food was good and the service excellent. One thing that could be improved is the pool bar selection and out of kitchen hours menu - the hotel is a bit far which means no alternatives if you’re used to earlier dinners coming from UK."
