"The pool at Borinquen is surrounded by trees and is set kind of in a valley and in the afternoons between 3-5 you could start to see the branches moving on the trees and all of a sudden, you would start to see monkeys swinging from branch to branch. Mama monkeys carrying their baby monkeys, monkeys "fighting", eating, just going about their day. It was absolutely amazing. That was when the spider monkeys came out. If the howler monkeys were there you would hear them coming up the valley around...

"I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. El único punto negro fue que el sistema de llaves se dañó y no tenían un plan de emergencia por lo que debían abrirle a todos los huéspedes sus puertas y eso generó cierto caos."

"Nice room with perfectly renovated bathroom (I had #2). Good air condition and bed. Perfect for a quick early morning drive to the airport. Nice surroundings but close to main thoroughfare and restaurants and just across from downtown. (I brought a sleeping pill to sleep through the moderate street noise). Coffee available in lobby, nice surroundings and friendly bilingual personal, easy check in. Great value, recommended! "

I reserved a two bedroom unit as I did not want to share a bedroom with my elderly parents who get up to use the bathroom all night long. When we arrived, there were two beds in the main bedroom and a second bedroom with absolutely nothing in it. "There was food tray beside our door when we checked in and it was still there the next day when we checked out. Made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel. While trying to sleep a worker started loudly plastering the ceiling in the hallway right in front of our room. 9:30/10pm. The aircon was loud and turned on and off frequently. For a 400$ CND hotel I was very disappointed."
