Motel is clean and very basic but very dated. Served its purpose form me (a place to sleep). No staff after 6pm so electronic key box was handy but no one to fend off the drunks bagging on doors at 4 am. I guess that is the area?

Everything in the room was at hand, clean and plentiful. TV, free wi-fi, free parking outside your door and extremely quiet. Wonderful.

The room was extremely stuffy, sheets not clean, needs a major upgrade and staff are dishonest. How they can operate, I do not know.. wish I had looked at all the other comments on Google ( not their website, which they have no doubt put there to market their motel). Don’t waste you time

This property needed a bit of a facelift. The room stank of smoke and stuffiness, which gave my son hay fever. Not having a sink in the kitchen area was quite inconvenient. The beds were clean and comfortable.

The cost is competitive among the other motels or hotels in this suburb, and in Canberra. The bed is too soft but still okay. Bathroom also acceptable. Room is very small but it is expected. The only thing bother me is this motel is located on the main street, that it is quite noisy when cars pass by, especially in the mid-night. Although overall experiences is average, because of the price, I give 4 starts

The lady in reception was lovely. Room was outdated but ok for 1 night. Bathroom was extremely small and dirty. Mould on grouting in the shower was a bit gross. The room had a funky smell.

Thank you for your feedback. The grouting in the bathroom is stained, it is not live mould. To fix this, the grouting needs to be replaced, which we are looking at doing. The bathrooms are old and a little stained in places, not dirty, and this is why we call ourselves a 'budget motel'. Unsure what the smell is that you mentioned

Worst experience
Only one light worked, no towels, not enough pillows, bathroom fan broken and not working shampoo conditioner soap dispensers not working, hot water gone after 2 minutes so unable to shower for any of the 4 of us. smelt like marijuana and reception closed at check in and out. Phoned and got a reception service not the hosts. Booked for 2 nights left early after not sleeping.

Thank you for your feedback. Upon investigating the room, all of the lights are working - there are just different light switches for different lights. The hot water appears to be working perfectly fine and no other rooms have mentioned lack of. We cannot find a problem with the bathroom fan and the soap dispensers appear to be working fine, and are fully stocked. Unsure about the smell you mentioned as nothing was detected. You arrived outside our Reception hours - we have a 24 hour check in system which you used. There were two pillows per guest, we are unsure how many you expected, more could have been provided when the extra towels you requested were provided. We do have an after hours phone service, who are able to contact us when required, which they did...re towels which you reuqested

Was disappointed that we did not have microwave in room, first time I have found that in a Motel Room in a long time. We found it a problem to have to heat everything down stairs and then have to carry up to our room.

Thank you for your feedback. The Motel is older and some people believe it does need renovating but once this is done, it will no longer be a "budget motel" with cheap rates that so many people rely on. Unfortunately you didnt say what needed maintenance - we try very hard to keep any "maintenance" issues fixed. Thank you for staying with us

My room was basic, but it was it had everything that I needed. When I made the booking, I rang the motel staff and told them that I would be arriving after midnight, which I did. The receptionist had told me how to access the key to my room. Getting the key was very easy and exactly as I had been told.

We are sorry about this. Our Housekeeping staff do an amazing job and our reviews generally reflect this. If this was the case, considering you stayed for 3 nights, this should have been brought to our attention so it could have been fixed which it certainly would have been

we had a problem with the shower tap constantly dripping so feel this should be fixed so other people dont experience this issue and you conserve water also

Crest Motor Inn is our go to motel when we have to travel to Canberra. It is walking distance to the shopping centre, onsite parking and is over the road from the local hotel that has an excellent menu and nice place to have a drink.
