The PortsWood was the perfect location for a visit to Cape Town. From the minute we arrived the staff made us feel special. Upon entering our room, we were delighted with the cleanliness and amenities. The location was just perfect and we were able to see the waterfront area from our room. everything was just steps away. I highly recommend staying at the PortsWood

We loved staying at this hotel! It's hard to choose when you have never been to the country or the area, but this location was amazing. We could walk down the safe, backroad through the hotels to the path that led right to the shops and restaurants and bay. We didn't rent a car and just walked each day. We also booked a few tours that picked us up right from the hotel. We loved the shops and all the restaurants close by. We enjoyed the work out room at the neighboring hotel that was included. Also a sauna and steam room. The staff was so friendly and the service in our room was great. We were so happy we picked this hotel. What a great time in Cape Town.

Super breakfast, good variety of food. The staff were great, they went out of their way to serve us. Always smiling and happy. The rooms were ok, the carpets looked a bit tired, but overall it was a lovely room. The best thing about it was it was walking distance from the V&A waterfront, the best area for walking, eating and going for trips.

The shining star of this wonderful hotel is the staff. Everyone from the doorman, the front desk staff, the chefs and the waiters, the room attendants to the maintenance staff were extremely friendly with big smiles and greeted us whenever we crossed their paths. A few staff that stood out were Restaurant Manager Roxane, kitchen staff Danielle and waitresses Faith and Asheda. The location was perfect and only steps from the heartbeat of the V&A Waterfront. The breakfast selection was excellent. The pool area and pool were lovely. Our room was a nice size with a big shower and comfortable beds. We highly recommend this wonderful property and when we return, we most definitely will stay here again.

All staff were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean, bathroom had good shower over bathtub.Bed very comfortable and good quality towels etc. Espresso coffee machine in room and kettle supplied on request. Swimming pool and comfortable sun loungers with umbrellas. Just across the road from the Waterfront so great location. Small convenience shop in the hotel complex. Restaurant food tasty and well priced. I would stay again.

Smaller than sister hotel next door and arguably nicer for being more bijou. Staff were the absolute best and always helpful. Really good spot to start a visit to Cape area. Would certainly stay there again.
