"We booked a two night stay at this Motel 6. We arrived late Friday and noticed strong drug odors throughout the downstairs. The stairwell had a mix of smoke and cooking smells, and our room (near the stairwell) had a heavy greasy odor that had permeated the linens and towels. Grease was all over the floors and window. While the beds appeared clean, the smell made the room uncomfortable. Due to the late hour, we stayed the night and planned to request a different room in the morning. At the front desk, I was told to “call back after 10 or 11” to check availability and that refunds would need to go through Expedia. We packed our belongings before leaving so they wouldn’t absorb the odor, expecting to switch rooms later. When I called back, I was told we had been checked out because the room was empty and could not stay that night. During the call, the manager said, “we refund your money” and “don’t come back.” When I tried to clarify that we only wanted a clean room, the response escalated to “what you want, what you want” and “I don’t care what you (profanity) do!” And then hung up on me. Three days later, no refund has been received. Overall, the room condition and handling of the situation were disappointing. Do not stay here! "

"I had a very disappointing stay at Quality Inn & Suites Lafayette. This was room 143, and it was clearly not cleaned properly. There was pubic hair on the toilet, the bathroom mirror was dirty, and the room had a strong foul odor from the moment we walked in. We checked in very late and noticed these issues right away, but chose to ignore them to avoid moving all our belongings to another room. After settling in, we checked under the beds due to the smell, but they were enclosed, so nothing could be there. Since we couldn’t identify the source, we assumed it might be a temporary odor, yet it persisted all night. In the morning, when we pulled the chair from under the table to have breakfast, we discovered the source—dog feces underneath the table. Our dog is extremely well-behaved, has never had an accident, and the size clearly indicated a larger animal. We cleaned it ourselves. At checkout, we reported everything; the front desk associate was polite but said prior guests reported no dog. We asked them to review cameras, as it’s likely a pet was undeclared to avoid fees. The room was also in poor condition: peeling ceiling paint and a door that appeared heavily damaged. We paid for two nights but canceled the second despite it being non-refundable. For context, we previously stayed in room 145 (pet-designated) and had an excellent experience. This inconsistency is concerning. I would not recommend staying here."

"The room was very clean. The barn doors as bathroom doors did not give as much privacy as regular doors. Breakfast was advertised as open until 10 daily, however, before 9:30 the doors were closing to the breakfast buffet. Very clean, quiet rooms. Helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again. "
