"Fantastic stay at Eskapo Verde Lodge, Moalboal! This place exceeded expectations. Very clean, quiet, and well maintained, with a relaxing green atmosphere that really lets you unwind. The staff are genuinely friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms are comfortable, the location is convenient, and everything feels well organized. Perfect base for exploring Moalboal, including the sardine run. Great value for money. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend"

"Small hostel in a great location. The owners are super nice and booked our canyoneering tour for us, and rented us snorkels for our whole stay. The room was nice enough, no frills but good for what we needed. The shared bathroom was not great though, and could do with some attention. "Our stay at the Backyard Inn was nothing short of a nightmare. The experience felt like actually sleeping outside with the chickens. The pod smelled of chicken waste, the sink didn’t drain, and the noise was unbearable—constant chicken noises, roosters crowing, and no peace or quiet to rest. We couldn’t wait to leave. "Staff were uniformly bright considerate helpful and courteous. General Manager Marcel from the Netherlands gave us much helpful advice about how to enjoy the area. He managed the staff in a quiet respectful manner which I am sure contributed to the latter’s kindness to the guests.
