Top Central Phoenix Hotel Reviews

Embassy Suites by Hilton Phoenix Downtown North
8/10 Good
"Very well located for my visit with several family members"

Red Roof Inn Phoenix - Midtown

"I booked this hotel based on the other hotels.com reviews but now it is clear to me that most of the positive reviews are fake. I graduated from GCU and needed a cheap and clean place to stay. I wasn’t expecting much but this was a huge surprise… in the worst way. Upon arrival, I was met with the site of a pimp and 2 of his employees, one of which had no legs. I also saw several scary looking men, obviously on drugs. When I checked in, I was told that I was checking in to a smoke free room. Perfect, I don’t smoke. I walk in and I am hit with the smell of strong nasty cigarettes. Ew. We get into the room and it looks ok-ish at first but I quickly noticed the cigarette burns in the curtains, the mold in the shower, and the not so recently mopped floors. The only positives were the water pressure in the shower was good, the water temperature got nice and hot, and the fridge and microwave were clean and worked well. I absolutely would never come here again. Please do not come here if you are traveling with children. The yelp reviews mention multiple shootings in the parking lot. This was my bad for not doing more research before coming. Also, on our way out, I encountered another hooker whos nips and butt cheeks were completely out. Not what I was expecting to see at 7:45AM. Staff was polite"

Placemakr Downtown Phoenix

"Enjoyed our two night stay over the weekend. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and kindly helped us with all questions we had. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and used the metro line to get to the FC soccer game (the metro is free with game ticket purchase there and back). I would recommend this hotel and would stay again if I return to Phoenix."

Rise Uptown Hotel
4/10 Poor
"We stayed here while visiting Phoenix for my graduation, and I really wanted to love this place.
Upon arrival, the general manager was very kind and welcoming—he even gave us popsicles, which was a nice touch and made a great first impression. However, our experience quickly changed.
We specifically booked this hotel because of the pool. Before our stay, I called on Tuesday evening to confirm the pool hours and was told it would be open until 11 PM. The general manager also confirmed this upon our arrival.
The night of my graduation, after a long day and late afternoon photo shoot, my husband and I went to the pool around 8:15 PM—well before the stated closing time. Unfortunately, we were stopped by the bar manager, who blocked our way and told us the pool was closed. When I mentioned we were told it closes at 11 PM, he responded by yelling. I told him I could hear him and there was no need to raise his voice. Instead of apologizing or calmly explaining, he continued to be dismissive and rude, blaming the music. We were not trying to argue or force entry—we simply expected clear and respectful communication. Even a simple “I’m sorry, the pool is closed tonight” would have been enough.
To make things more confusing, a staff member mentioned that the pool lights had not been working for months, which raises concerns about misinformation being given to guests. It felt like the manager just didn’t want to serve guests at the pool.It was also uncomfortable to witness how he spoke to"

FOUNDRE Phoenix

"I did not use the bar, so no opinion there. I felt a little misled by the free breakfast, instead finding that meant they allot $15 for your purchase at their counter. That being said though, the staff at the counter were great. The food was large portions and very tasty.the art display everywhere was inspiring."

Hyatt Regency Phoenix

"Good staff, good service, no complaints."

"Parking was a nightmare! Staff was somewhat friendly but only one person working check ins"

Hotel San Carlos - Downtown Convention Center
8/10 Good
"Great for staying downtown Phoenix to attend a Suns game. The room was very clean. They have these weird vents above the doorway in the hotels rooms that dont offer a lot of sound privacy. You can see day light on the other side of the vents. So, if whisper if you dont want others to hear what your talking about while in your room"
