"The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff."

"It's a beautiful, traditional Inn, without modern amenities. Unlike some Inn's, you still feel like you have your own personal space, but yet it's still cozy. I felt like I walked into an episode of Gilmore Girls. It was wonderful. A must if you're in the area."

"No microwave, no breakfast and the pool and hot tub were really cold. Pillows were to soft and the room did not have enough towels; and trash bags and the garbage containers were way too small to hold any garbage. TV services and channels were terrible to follow, and the channels were not accurate and the not set to the correct channels. Not happy but thank you for your hospitably. Will onl come back in case of emergency. Pernell."

"Bathroom had a moldy shower curtain and bathtub was moldy. There was dirt and bugs on the floor. The paint on bathroom ceiling was peeling. The ac was so loud it was hard to sleep…"

"Our stay at the Fairfield Northampton was great. The room and all common areas were clean. Housekeeping came and made the beds, replenished towels and toiletries with care while we were out. Location was close the downtown with shops and eateries and a 20 minute drive from UMass. The complimentary breakfast and pool was a highlight of our stay. The staff was all super friendly. We look forward to staying again for any our future UMass visits."

"The doors didn’t lock. There was a hole in the bathroom ceiling. A cup of urine welcomed us at check in."

"The room I stayed in didn't get daily cleaning and reeked of cigarette smoke; the guests in the neighboring rooms were smoking, and nothing was done about it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone."
