"Great getaway in Urubamba, Peru. Great place if you want to explore Moray, Maras, Chinchero ruins or plan a trip to Ollantaytambo. Be advised that it's about 2 hours from Cusco. Great staff, decor, amenities and hospitality. Gianalberto and Yordan in the restaurant area take special care of any requests that you might have. The spa is quite unique as well."

"Lovely hotel, really enjoyed the quiet, calm setting at the foot of a steep mountain, with the sound of a stream rushing by and wonderful gardening including tons of flowers. Adding to the peace and quiet, the rooms are in separated cottages, with fireplaces, big comfy beds, good linens, and outdoor seating. Very tasteful, this is a family owned hotel where the details have been chosen with care, and it shows. Lorena, Julio and the rest of the staff was incredibly helpful, lit fires for us, brought extra wood, heated the sauna, kept inquiring if everything was ok, set up transportion to and from Cusco. "This is the best among five different hotels at various locations (above 4-star-rated hotels) during a 16-day trip around Peru. My husband and I stayed two nights at Lizzy Wasi. The staff members were very helpful and friendly. We had a chance to talk with an owner "Lizzy" who is such a delightful lady, just like other staff members.
