"I can’t think of anything negative aside from the lift that is very slow but it didn’t matter, I love taking the stairs. Service was great, place is immaculate, our server, Will, was very engaging and easy to get to pubs and restaurants as well. Also, if you’re not driving, you can just walk from the train station. The walk is ten minutes but it will feel that you’re just walking in a park. Absolutely lovely! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again."

"What a great place to stay in you need a bed for the night. Everything is handed by phone and text. Parking at the rear of the property, nice clean room and we'll sorted en suite. The design of my room made it a bit of a squeeze getting around the double bed. Good amenities including a drinks fridge with complimentary water and juice included as well as tea and coffee making facilities and a small oven, ironing board and cooling tower fan. 25 minutes walk to Castle Park"

"I am a regular guest of the Holiday Inn, Abbots Lane, Colchester and have always found the hotel both inviting and comfortable. The staff are excellent and always friendly and helpful. I’ve dined in the restaurant on many occasions and the meals have all been excellent with a wide variety of menu choices. I would highly recommend a stay here! "
