"Booked 2 Double rooms for multiple nights, interconnected. Overwhelmingly, the best thing is the location. It's hard to imagine a better connected hotel to the trains as you have access to 4 MRT train lines within 5 min of the hotel. Dhoby Ghaut you need to cross 2-3 roads, Bencoolen is right outside the hotel and Bras Basah just needs one crossing. The hotel is also within walking distance to Fort Canning Park, has a 7/11 downstairs and is 5 min to Plaza Singapura. The gym looked functional but the pool was better than expected. In the afternoon, found it in the shade and a good temperature, and there is a warm small pool next to it. There are water filters to fill up drink bottles next to the pool and within the gym. For the rooms, they were quite spacious and had surprisingly high ceilings. However, they looked dated, the carpet looked weary and one of the rooms had a slight musty smell. As we were on a lower level (under 5), we could hear cars on the busy road outside which was not an issue for us but could be for others. Found it annoying that you could hear party music which was not limited to just the weekend, but also on the Mon night into the early morning hours."

"Elevators wre being renovated, and there were frequently people on them who missed their floor. But just a transitional problem i think. Not enough pool loungers. Staff great. Place nice, location great."

"I chose this hotel because the cost was attractive and because it was steps away from a MRT station (Bencoolen on the Downtown line). It was within walking distance of Clarke Quay and Orchard Road. It is not in downtown, but it was close enough for my needs. The hotel was clean and well-kept. The room, while small, was comfortable and met my expectations for the stay. Wifi worked well and the safe and fridge were useful during my stay. I also appreciated the ice machine on the ground floor, however the hotel did not provide breakfast. I was fine without having breakfast at the hotel given the prevalence of hawker stalls in nearby Little India and Chinatown, as well as good restaurants nearby, although this may not be convenient for others. The laundry facilities were convenient although I did not use them. Same with the pool. Overall, the hotel was good value and well situated, so I would certainly consider staying at this property again in the future. "

"Well located hotel. Staff are fantastic. They mention about the pillows when you check in that if they’re not what you’re after to phone reception and they’ll organise other ones - but at 11pm at night when you’re in your PJs you’re not really going to do that! Pillows are seriously all like rocks - ended up sleeping on folded towels! "

"Every member of staff was fantastic and delivered 5 star service. Hard to single any particular person out as they were all so good. The room (Marina Bay view King) and pool were lovely, very clean and a nice balance between modern and old-world charm. Only minor fault was the room did feel a little tired and there was nothing really in the way of amenities in the room (free soft drinks or snacks). Would still recommend 100%"
