Staff were excellent especially Kaylor and the team, very warm and helpful with organising our tours. Food options also very good and place is quiet and in the middle of nature. Accomodation is ok, little bit rustic but then it is an eco lodge and you paying for seclusion and to be close to wildlife. Would recommend overall

Wonderful stay at Tortuga lodge. The accommodation and food were fantastic. This place is just magic and very convenient for a flight as Tortuga airport (very quiet) is just across the river. Highly recommend

Staff were so helpful and friendly. They could not do enough to make our visit a pleasure

A luxurious, well-placed resort with very friendly and attentive staff. The ladies on reception were fab, as were the restaurant staff and the tour guides. The wildlife in the grounds is exceptional, and the design and decor of Mawamba is flawless. Loved it.

The staff at this hotel are nothing short of incredible. They go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of. We did all the tours with their partner Tuanis Tours and found the guides knowledgeable and fun. All the tours went on a little longer because the guides were determined to make sure we saw all animals possible. They even made the tours enjoyable the few times we got caught in the rain. The hotel was also super accommodating and helpful when a storm...

Really nice hotel very close to the beach, park and the boat dock. Clean, airconditioned rooms and very good breakfast.

Clean room, staff, location

A basic room but the location was exceptional overlooking the lagoon. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Only negative was that we couldn't stay longer!

We stayed in the hotel as a party of six people with two teenagers sharing a room with two adults and two adults in a room on their own. The location was very good to be in the middle of the small resort. It is located about five minute walk from the jetty where the boat will leave you. The journey with our luggage was fine however it was not raining and on the return to the Boat at the end of our stay we paid a local staff member to take our luggage as it would’ve been difficult with elderly...

This place is lovely. Run by a nice local family. They helped us with our onward journey to moin. The wood cabins are lovely and rustic plus they are right by the beach on one side and the river on the other. The only negative would be that a cockerel was by our door and woke us up at 5am and then kept us awake for another couple of hours.

This guest house is great. The staff are so helpful. Emmanuel on reception contacted us in advance to give us really useful travel advice. The ferry dropped us straight to the guest house so we didn’t have to carry our bags a long distance. We were in the lagoon room which had an amazing view. Really good value for money. I definitely recommend this place.

It might not be as fancy as it's neighbouring Resorts but what it lacks in this makes up in Manager & staff friendly, going out of there way to make it a memorable stay. Can't thank the Manager enough, helping us out on tours, getting into town and also connecting us to the next destination, making it stress free and it's just a chilled resort, yes it's basic but we loved it, great little pool which Son made as much use of it as possible and well the wildlife around the resort was just amazing!...

The resort is very well run and our guide Mario was excellent and always on hand to assist if required. The resort is somewhat rustic but that's part of it's charm. Very comfy beds and tasty food. The included excursions were great (boat tour and trip to the village). We also did the early morning boat tour which I'd highly recommend (we booked this with reception as soon as we arrived)

Great base to explore Tortuguero. Friendly and helpful staff

Clean simple room with wide beds. Staff helpful. Access to swimming pool in nearby building. A/C provided but no TV or fridge. Coffee / tea making facility in reception area. Hotel is situated about 10 -12 minutes walk from the high street where most shops and restaurants are located.
