"For the money, I cannot think of a better value! I’m traveling for a new job and needing a place relatively close to Aberdeen. Since I have had HORRIBLE experiences in Aberdeen, I decided to check this place out and I cannot recommend it enough. I was not sure if I had the right place at first as the big sign outside reads “Ocean Shore Resort” and doesn’t mention American Value Inn except for a decal on the door. So I thought I was at the wrong place for a few minutes. Perhaps since it’s the off season, I had to call the manager to check in but she came in within five minutes and checked me in quickly. The room is very clean and modern. Had all the necessities. It was so quiet though I was glad to see that they do provide ear plugs as well just in case. It’s a great little place and I’ll definitely be staying here if I come during the summer with my family. "

"This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The first time we stayed upstairs, the unit was solid. We chose a bottom floor this time. The dog enjoyed looking outside, we did too. Tile in bathroom was loose, it made me uncomfortable."

"This is our go-to place every time we go to Ocean Shores. It's pet friendly they even have treats and bedding for the pets. Easy access to the outdoors when you have a dog. The staff is amazing and facilities are very clean."

"Each time I went to the office there was an extended wait with no staff and no way to ask for them. The outside of this property was neglected with rusting rails and dirty steps. Inside, the room appeared to be clean however in our room (which had three beds), the second room was unheated with the thermostat installed upside down and not connected. Our door peephole was an empty hole that connected directly to the outside. We did not feel safe here and it was not comfortable (freezing in second room!). "
