"Lovely hotel great access for the old town Cádiz. Very helpful staff, wonderful breakfasts particularly the fresh made omelette station. Great sea views from our room and the public rooms for sunrise and fabulous sunsets. Lovely pool and roof top bar. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely return. Thank you ☺️"

"It was pretty basic. No fancy lobby. Room was in good size. The reception was nice and helpful. The breakfast was fine with good selections of food. The location is good. It is close to the beach restaurants. The 3rd floor terrace was a good addition to have. I liked it."

"Great location and a beautiful property with lots of potential. Overall we had a good stay, but a few things let it down. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and some of the staff weren’t particularly friendly or welcoming. Breakfast on our first morning felt rushed and disorganised, and the breakfast staff came across quite rude. The rooftop, garden and pool areas are lovely, but often felt empty and a little neglected. Overall, a decent stay, but only 3 stars because with a bit more attention to detail, this place could be really fantastic."

Elba Costa Ballena Beach & Thalasso Resort

"We have been coming to this hotel for around 10 years and it remains one of our favourite places to stay. The staff are excellent, the hotel is clean and well maintained, the facilities are great, and the entertainment is honestly top class. A special mention must go to Rafa at the pool bar, who was always friendly, welcoming and provided excellent service. Tirio from the entertainment team also deserves huge praise — he really is the heart and soul of the hotel. He is amazing with both children and adults, full of energy, and our little girls absolutely love him. He is one of the main reasons we keep returning year after year. The food itself is very good, but our only real criticism is the lunchtime restaurant service. Lunch is only available from 14:00 to 15:00, which makes it extremely hectic. There are long queues to enter, more queues for food, and at times guests jump the queue, which creates unnecessary stress and arguments. We usually stay full board, but on some days we would rather miss our included lunch and pay extra at the pool bar just to avoid the chaos. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel with amazing staff and entertainment, but extending lunch hours or improving queue management would make the experience even better."

"I had a wonderful stay for my birthday. The spa and the hydrothermal circuit were lovely and very relaxing, and all of the spa staff were so kind. The hotel was quiet, the views were unbeatable, and the poolside service was a lovely bonus. The only downside was the pool outside my room was a little chilly."

"The staff were very helpful and the Hotel is very convenient for the beach and some good restaurants in the local area. A bit of a walk to visit the old town but was worth the effort."

Hotel Best Costa Ballena

10/10 Excellent

"Seemed like there were not enough staff to cater for the number of guests - considering its still May that may explain why this is. Everything was good, just very long queues at all the bars. In previous years this has been managed from all sides of the bar but this time round it was single file in both the pool and lobby bar. This put off some guests at times Will return again!"

Playa De La Luz Hotel

"The property is overall good but I believe that as a Seaview hotel it needs to be maintained often. I've been to many countries and this is my first time for paying over 100euro a day to have a 50$ room. The pub staff is the most welcoming. The breakfast isn't something you want to wake up to. It was a quick business trip so I think I was OK."
