"The breakfast was horrible. Thank God for cereal and oatmeal. The WIFI was so slow it kept kicking my devices to my Hotspot. The first room they gave us wouldn't unlock, like the deadbolt was locked. We could hear movement in the room. All of the trashcans in public areas were running over. The hotel was being remodeled. Some issues I can understand. The staff, except for front desk, we're super friendly and helpful. The staff ,including the kitchen, we're doing the best with what they had."

"This is a basic, no-frills old property that has aged well. The rooms are plain, and nothing but coffee in the office for breakfast. I am a traveler who looks for a clean place to sleep and shower; the frills don't matter. This fits the bill for someone who would rather spend their money on other things than frills in a room they will sleep in and be gone from in 12 hours. In cities, cheap hotels attract an element to stay away from, but that type is not touring the back roads of West Virginia."

"The pool was closed on June 19th. Requested 2 rooms side by side. 1 room infested with tiny ants. It took over an hour to get another room. It was the entire length of the motel from the 2nd room. At 8:00 am the lady started clearing breakfast and the coffee was empty.. Not a good experience."

"We stayed 5 nights. The sheets and towels were stained. The room was dirty. They took out the trash and gave us new towels one time during our stay after we asked them several times. Often there was no one present on the premises. The street where the hotel is located is VERY run down. They did give us an extra room to keep our bikes which we appreciated. They were nice when we saw them."

"What a great hostel!! The building is so great with wonderful architectural touches. Grounds are beautiful with picnic tables and a fire pit area. We stayed in the Cloud suite - which was the entire 3rd floor with private bath and kitchenette. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!"

"Hello, Stayed 2 nights in the compact full room upstairs. It is newly renovated and I was the 1st guest. There was plenty of room for me to move around comfortably. The lighting was sufficient and the window provided enough natural light. There were sufficient number of hangers. Bed was firm and comfortable and the comforter was very warm on the 1st night and just right on the 2nd night when it was colder. There was a extra heavier blanket that was good for the 1st night.
