Yesterday on our #roadtrip, we stopped on the Talgarno Road near Granya to look at the vista of Lake Hume. I love the trees, colours and especially the parallel tidal lines. Lake Hume was formed by damming the Murray River and catches water from the Murray and Mitta Mitta River. #Victoria #Australia #Iloveasunburntcountry
Lake Banimboola is the regulating pondage on the Mitta Mitta River downstream of the #DartmouthDam. A power station has been built here for EcoGeneration. It was quite a #roadtrip to the #DartmouthDam with Ian driving and Mother and I taking in the sights. We tripped along the Mitta Mitta Valley from our base point at #LakeHumeVillage, up towards the high country in Victoria. The Dartmouth Dam captures the flow of the Mitta Mitta River, for irrigation and hydroelectricity, and holds the equivalent water capacity of 7 Sydney Harbours!
