Clean hotel great service. Rooms are much more up to date than other hotels around. Breakfast is definitely geared towards Indian clients, however that didn't put us off. Staff in the restaurant were amazing! We had a small hiccup when we first arrived, but was rectified immediately. Great place to stay if you need to be in the centre of Dar.

Centrally located, great staff, nice buffet, very clean room. Moreover, the manager was very responsive and rapidly took care of minor issues. Great service. well recommended.

Older hotel that has nice updates. The room and bathroom were very nice and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The food at the restaurants was mostly Indian dishes.

Parfait pour un passage a Dar

Hotel bien situe dans le centre et au calme. Staff qui pourra vous aider au mieux selon vos besoins. Restaurant et repas de qualité, chambre grande et bien équipée. Un point a améliorer la literie. Wifi fonctionne parfaitement.

Located in the city center and close to most offices. Very clean. Staff were nice and helpful and did not make any fuss about request for a late checkout. Highly recommended

My room had several problems with the facilities. Some outlet sockets were out of order, the kettle was broken, and the fridge was also out of order. Once the curcuit breaker tripped at night. I think the rooms need more frequent maintenance. Staff were always quick to respond to solve the problems and I was happy with that.

Good hotel with Great Restaurant Food

The hotel was in relatively good locality. Little bit far from Airport considering local traffic and ongoing Bridge construction going on in Dar Es Salaam. Restaurant food was one of the big plus. Roof top Bar & Restaurant was quite good, helps to relax after hectic work day. Local Taxis are always available outside the hotel.

Comfortable and professionally managed

This is a very good hotel in the city centre. The wifi worked well and the restaurant served good food (and beer). The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. The biggest plus as far as I was concerned was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and management, which was outstanding. This will be my hotel of choice on my return to Dar es Salaam.

Old Colonial Type hotel

The staff were all charming and friendly. Restaurant service one night was so slow I left - 45 minute wait for a curry!! There was a function upstairs, and I don't think they thought anyone else would be eating. Breakfast (included) was OK, much Indian food, but omlets made to order.

Two star hotel

The condition of the room is really bad. Paint is peeling. Washroom tiles are dirty and may have MOLD. Water doesn't drain during shower. It is really bad. Only supplied on bath towel and one hand towel. No napkins. Neighborhood does not suite the location of this hotel.

Good hotel for all travellers.

I am used to stay in this hotel every time I visit Dar for about more than 4 years. At least a week stay every year. Very nice property with comfort, easy accessible, good location. Especially for Indian traveller it's a good choice as very close to Indian temples, Indian foods at walkable distance. Overall a good hotel.

Nice Hotel

The Sapphire is a safe and good choice. The rooms and the service is what you pay for and they are friendly and accommodating. The roof bar is lovely and relaxed. The Indian food at the hotel is some of the best I've tasted in Africa. A nice hotel in a very good location.

just acceptable

it was ok for a short overnight stay, quite nice breakfast. not far from the ferry terminal. the terrace upstairs looked nice for a drink in the evening, but we arrived after 11pm so never had a chance to use it as it was already closed by that time.
