A wonderful, historic hotel. Built in 1903 and situated in the Civil Lines area of Delhi, this is definitely a place you should consider. It goes without saying that the public areas, grounds and rooms are spot-on, well-maintained and spotlessly clean.
The real selling point here though is the service. I can honestly say that the staff here, from the General Manager down, provided some of the best service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately, my luggage was mislaid by the airline and I was without it for 2 days. The staff couldn’t have been more supportive and provided me with essentials and even clothing as well as ordering a cab to take me to a local shopping centre to purchase a couple of items. Everyone was friendly, helpful and kind and I was frequently greeted by name around the hotel. Outstanding and highly recommended hotel in a nice, green area away from the hustle and bustle and with a number of bars and dining options within a 5 minute walk – as well as the Civil Lines Metro station which will connect you with anywhere in the city.
