Beautiful grounds, old, damp and moldy room that r

The Sundy is well known for its excellent cuisine and for its exquisite grounds. Beautiful table settings for the outdoor restaurant and lovely Koi-stocked ponds are connected by a series of stone paths. However, staying at the Sundy is a different experience. The first floor room where I stayed was large and had at lovely decor, but the room was dark and suffered from black mold on the ceilings and in the bathroom shower stall, as well as the large armoire enclosing the small TV stank of mold. The shower door grab handle literally came apart upon contact, and the linens were damp with humidity. The staff are not available before 4 pm, and even then they admitted they do not answer the phone, even though I needed to get dry bed sheets. First night I had to sleep fully clothed! Finally, no continental cuisine was available after 9 am. While I do not know the condition of the other rooms, and these issues can be rectified by knowing how to handle the staff and knowing what to expect, no stay should have to be this difficult, and the existence of mold in any B & B or hotel is unacceptable and dangerous, even in humid southern Florida.

No one at front desk. Left message we would be arriving late. No one at desk. No key left. Nothing. No one answers phone or calls back. Extremely disappointing. Well laid out with beautiful landscaping but can't find anyone working there.

The property is beautiful...The rooms were run down and dirty...The TV did not work...When I told them about it...They never sent someone to fix it...It is a beautiful property...Just a shame that they do not take care of the rooms.

The property has historic charm, but is poorly run. Front desk staff unknowledgeable, light in bedroom not working, safe not working, missing bathroom toiletries upon checkin. Not very clean, and a large cockroach in our room one night. This place has potential, as it’s charming and well located. But management needs to get it together.

The property was just unbelievably beautiful and unique. Loved the landscaping, hidden nooks and crannies and jungle atmosphere throughout. We enjoyed happy hour each night and the lovely and unique bar (and very nice bartender)

Needs TLC. Beautiful gardens.

Small wedding under 50 people. Grounds beautiful. Wedding went off without a hitch and food was great BUT room was dusty, floors were dirty and there were only 2 employees on arrival to help with luggage, ice, water etc. I had to mop floor with bath towel so wedding dress didn't get dirty!! No valet either. I checked in at 345 which was a little early but needed to help bride and attendants get ready for 5:00 wedding. Also think they should warn guests about uneven rock walks and no walkways suitable for high heels!! Someone fell almost broke an ankle.

No A Place to Even Conside!

I booked this stay - I even called and mentioned I would be late and when I arrived the entire place was DARK no one on premise except there were vagrants - this scared me half to death! I still have not heard from Sunday House - but I have reported this experience to the police

Great Location Beautiful Groends!

The property is beautiful. Taking the challenges of COVID into consideration there definitely were issues, not sure how many apply to that but here goes. Super Bowl Sunday night we discovered our TV remote battery was dead. No staff around. 2 out of 3 mornings no Breakfast or even coffee available as promised. Issues paying what was due at check in. Manager was to contact us next am and never heard anything during our stay. Location was wonderful.

Charming, but rough around the edges!

The accommodations were spacious and charming. The biggest complaint would be that the bathroom tiles and grout around the bathtub were in desperate need of cleaning. Cleaning under the bed was also ignored. There is no one on staff during the day and no desk to call. Prior to arrival, I left two telephone messages, an email, and a message on the website re an early check-in. No one responded.

Must be adventurous

If you desire the orderliness of the hotel chains And you require conformity in rooms and front desk assistance this hotel is probably not for you Sunday House is an 11 room BnB style hotel The rooms have their own personality The hotel property is a tropical paradise in the middle of DelrayBeach The rooms are quirky but comfortable Our shower was not great but the balcony overlooking the flora and fauna was awesome The pool was not operational and I am not sure if they have fixed it in a long time Overall staying at the Sunday House is an adventure One last thing their happy hour is not to be missed good appetizers and great drink specials

When we arrived 8 PM, the property was closed. No one answered the phone or the door; there was simply no way to check in! We had not received any deadlines for when to arrive and had looked forward to a special night there. But we had to leave and don’t intend to ever take that risk again.

We frequently visit the Delray Area and had always wanted to stay at the Sundy House. The whole place has an odd almost eerie feel to it. The staff is very rude and we felt uncomfortable, after interaction with front desk during stay. When you open door to room you are hit with a very strong moldy smell. You can actually see mold on bathroom vent and walls. The floor under bed was dusty, lightbulbs out in bathroom, problem with tv and internet but when you call about issue there is absolutely no one there. Violation code about plumbing taped to front door. Property grounds are beautiful but overgrown, restaurant pleasant, close to Ave.
