The surrounding area of the Hotel was dirty and bunch of people siting all the in the reception and smoke feeling unsecure, no good for non-smoker and kids, avoid as much as you can. i wouldn’t recommend.

Hotel bali dream costel
Untuk kebutuhan jalan2 di bali hotel ini lumayan, cuman untuk sarapan menunya tidak ada nasi. Ke kota dekat
Didn't stay overnight just stayed to get out of the sun before our flight, but the man on the reception was nice, room was a bit worn out, great fried chicken place around the corner.
Staff was very friendly and helpful with any matters you need to ask or know. It's peacefully quiet here at night which is great and it is not far away from anywhere you want to go if you are riding here. There's a market 5 mins away, there's carrefour 10 mins away and the main roads that connects to other places is just in front of carrefour! Awesome stay it was for me and I would recommend anyone to stay here! Thank you Bali dreams!

Good service
The location is not the best, unless you rent a bike, then it's fine.
Very friendly people working there, and very quiet. A little indoor pool too.
Was offered a cup of coffee for free while i went out to smoke a cigarette, and they were helpful to find transport etc.
Excellent stay, good attention, taxi's come quick. Shopping near by, excellent food.

Nice hotel very far removed...
An excellent hotel. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. My main complaint would be location as the Costel is located over 1.5 hours walk from the nearest beach down a confusing warren of streets which also made for a very difficult original search to find. Would highly recommend if exploring Denpasar however for the beaches, shopping, socialising and relaxing this hotel was very inconveniently located.
When we arrived it was very late at night and took us longer to find it, as even the taxi driver couldn't find it, it was down an ally way, we felt a little apprehensive. In the morning we went for a walk, feeling very comfortable, then returned to a homemade breakfast. Pool very nice and refreshing. Overall very nice stay, and very close to the markets as they were only across the road. Loved walking down the road, shopping in a area that's not very commercialised for tourist so everything was very cheap to buy, cheaper than Kuda and Nusa Dua.
Surrounding area of hotel not that great but as per price this place is awsum, rooms r clean and staff is wonderfull.
No complains
Love u guys, will be back soon

just ok
in the middle of nowhere you need a taxi to everywhere. Didn't feel save outside alone as a female solo traveller
I'd read that drivers had trouble finding the hotel, so I wrote down the streets to take to get there - Gelogor Carik is a huge long road with dozens of offroads (the hotel is on one of them) so mention that! We paid 100,000 for the taxi from the airport, not sure if that was very overpriced but the hotel offered (I think) a 70,000 taxi back, so consider that. The area was chaotic (taxis, bikes/cars, restaurants, street vendors, chickens, dogs) but quiet if you turn down any of the Gangs (lanes). When we got to the hotel we were shown to our room, which was small but charming, double bed, window looking out to the outdoor pool (also small but charming), desk, chair, television, ensuite with toilet, shower, sink. Very basic but all you really needed. On the website they don't explain any of the differences between 'deluxe' and 'superior' rooms, and they have more expensive versions of the two which also don't explain - the more expensive ones come with breakfast. I recommend it! We were treated to fresh-cooked omelette, bread, fresh fruit, and sweet hot tea - there was a second option, but we didn't catch it the first day and then went with the omelette after (to not risk it being meat, as we're vegetarians). The staff always seemed available for requests like fresh towels, toilet paper, etc. The internet was quite patchy, but when we needed to use a desktop, they offered the main computer. Overall, Bali Dream Costel was a 5-star example of a 1-star hotel and excellent value.
