"The hotel ground was very lush full of giant plants, lotus ponds and flowers. The restaurant had an amazing view. The menu was extensive. The pool lounge was quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly and courteous. The luxury sleeping tent is surrounded by a forest. The setting is very idyllic.The architecture is inspiring. Hard to beat!"

"Solo traveller, and had a perfect stay here. Quiet and outside of the main Sidemen area, so very quiet and relaxing. Pool and resturant was as expected, and rooms were comfortable. A BIG highlight was the staff, especially the concierge Adit who always made me feel comfortable and was sure to check in with me to make sure i was enjoying myself (not sure if many solo travellers come here). Its a new hotel, so a real hidden gem. Bikes for rent available, spa facilities on site, but walkable to plenty of warung, silver classes, spa/massage etc also."

"Such a special and quiet place in nature. So relaxing and authentic, family run lodging. Rooms were large and spacious with gorgeous views over the rice fields and mountain. Staff all friendly and helpful. It’s a 15-20 drive into Sidemen and the staff can arrange a driver. I would definitely stay again!"

"Our stay at Barong was beautiful, from the grounds and gardens to the exquisite room and view. This is the real Bali. Beautiful and tranquil countryside setting among rice fields. Agung was a wonderful host who made our stay so much more special. He was very knowledgeable about the local area and very enthusiastic and fun to interact with each day. Made and all the staff here at Barong were a delight. The traditional blessing on entry was a great taste of culture and start to the stay. The food was freshly made - delicious everytime, with local ingredients and flavours - some from the gardens of Barong, Massages on-site and scooters hired through Barong, are some of the property perks.
