The pool could be amazing but the finish is so rough (like coarse sand paper) that it is uncomfortable and the water quality does not seem to be up to snuff (my white cover-ups came home with a brownish tinge. "We had originally booked a different 5 star in the area and it turned out to be more like a 3 star due to maintenance and state of rooms so we cancelled that last minute and came to Diria. We were unsure initially because it is a 4 star. It turned out to be a great decision. This is a new and beautifully maintained property. Great pools, beach and helpful staff. Also right in the heart of all the activity in Tamarindo! Absolutely recommend for anyone traveling to tamarindo with our without kids....

We had surprise encounters with beautiful wildlife like raccoons, crabs, monkeys and snakes. Yoga with Andrea was amazing! The daily buffet breakfast was excellent."
