"Clean room. Staff was welcoming to the property. Easy to get to. We did not use the pool or the hot tub - but they looked very nice. Our room overlooked the pool. Our friends stayed in a room with a balcony and the view was beautiful."

"This is the 2nd year in a row that we’ve stayed at Canal Park Lodge over Memorial Day weekend and we plan to do it again next year! Reasonably priced (especially on a holiday weekend), great location on the end of Canal Park by the beach (plus easy walking to everything) and my family enjoys the pool and hot tub."

"Our tv had no remote. Luckily we discovered this before the front desk closed at 11. Went down, they said sorry there’s nothing they can do. Suggested universal remote app and said it would work cause tv and my phone are on same WiFi. This is incorrect, different WiFi’s. Couldn’t access or use tv and we were planning on watching several movies."

"Fantastic hotel! First time in Duluth and this will be my go to hotel every time I’m there."

"All staff were great including at restaurant. All was excellent except second night we were kept awake till 1:30 am by noisy and inconsiderate wedding party guests. Not the hotel’s fault and we did not call the front desk , thinking it will soon end. When we told management the next morning they were empathetic and even gave us a great discount. Not expected and much appreciated! We will be back to stay here again. Beautiful grounds and lakeside patio! Thank you for a good experience!"

"Easy check in, great parking, nice clean room. Great pool and hot tub. Several fire pits with plentiful seating along the shoreline. On site restaurant was a bit pricey. No continental breakfast. Coffee not available in main lobby until 8 am - should be 6 am. Coffee maker in room made flavorless dark colored hot water. Yeah, I like my coffee early. Everything else about Larsmont Cottages was great."

"Room wasn’t ready when we arrived but they remedied that quickly and our room was ready in 10 minutes."

"Not super great. The room was below average. There was a lot of very weird things going on in the parking garage that you have to use for the hotel stay. Drunk kids and strange people all over in there. Maybe it is just the downtown area there is a lot of drugs and homeless."

"First for the good: the beds were comfortable, the room was pretty clean. The restaurant, though furnishings are old, is cool because of the view and it has that retro vibe. Food was OK. Servers were accommodating. Now for the problems: Parking needs serious work. Lower level of the ramp was full of nasty potholes. Hotel needs refurbishing, furnishings and carpets are old and worn. And what’s the deal with the elevators? It took me on a mystical magical, not so fun ride. It wouldn’t get off...

"The pool was super cold and the hot tub and slide were down. Breakfast was supposed to be till 10:30 on Memorial Day but they were taking everything out at 10:05 when we came down"
