This was our first stop on arrival in Sri Lanka and it didn’t disappoint. The staff are wonderful, the food was gorgeous and the setting by the lake was idyllic. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have high ceilings and views of the lake. Altogether a great start to our holiday.

the hotel was right on the beach. We had a seaview room which was large and roomy. The room was kept very clean. The facilities at the hotel were very good. All the staff that worked there were amazing and could not do enough for you. The anamation team made sure that guests were occupied during the day.You were made to feel like a person rather than just a number. The pol was kept very clean. The food was varied although most dishes were spicy there was something for everybody to eat.

This is a small and cosy hotel with all the necessary amenities (except aircon and pool). Just steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. We were alone in the hotel most of the time, but even when it fills up it will never feel anything like a beach resort. Really exceptional place.

We are a married couple in our 60s, and have just spent a week here at the beginning of October. This is their low season, so the hotel was very quiet and peaceful, which suits us. The staff were really friendly, amazing food and really gorgeous place. They took us on a wildlife tour where we saw otters and loris all on their grounds! There is not much in the local area so you need to keep this in mind if planning to visit a shop or restaurant during your stay, it’s not really possible

Kalpitiya is still undeveloped and after spending 10 days looking around, I can say this is by far the best hotel in the area. The hotel is on the beach, has a great pool, modern air conditioning in the rooms and is very clean. It's also perfectly situated by a lagoon if you want to kitesurf. After speaking to the manager he is working on improving the food and service levels as some staff were slow due to a lack of English and experience.
