We stayed at the Poomaz Peace palace for 3 nights. The accommodation is within minutes of the main street and because of the close proximity you can hear the live music each night. However the music usually does stop by 23:00. The room was spacious and clean and offers a fridge, kettle, hair dryer, soap, towels and has a shared balcony where breakfast is served each morning. Wow, what a place! Loved our room with patio and the views were just to die for. Great view of the Ella waterfall which you could hear from the property. The owners were lovely and very helpful. Lovely cup of tea on arrival and water whenever you need it. Breakfast was amazing and huge. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay in Ella as it was nice and peaceful and oh, did I mention those views!

Property was brand new and very well maintained. The manager Melanie was awesome, available at all times and very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.

Sunnyside bungalow was great. Fab service, comfortable bed and excellent location. Very short walk down the road into Ella. Sri Lankan breakfast was delicious!

Great hotel in a wonderful location. Rooms are large and spacious with a breathtaking view of Ella Rock from your balcony. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious.

We had a fantastic stay here. The house & setting are just beautiful, so peaceful & the hosts are so welcoming & friendly. The bed was so comfortable! We had an evening meal here which was home cooked & delicious. We had an early start the following day for a Jeep safari we’d booked through the hosts & we were sent off with a huge packed breakfast. The safari was fabulous too, the guide was so knowledgeable about Udawele Park. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Superb accomodation if only for the view from the bed looking out onto the Ella valley. Then a surprisingly fullsome breakfast accompanied by a medley of fruits. The two brothers looking after the place were able to book tuk tuk drivers who did not fleece you like a number of the others in Ella town. Therefore spacious well appointed room with fan. as air conditioning would not normally be necessary in Ella. Also no mosquitoes rather some fruit flies from the surrounding lusious...

We had an epic time here at this Luxury hotel. The location is perfect, away from the noise, pollution, crowd and tourists. The hotel staffs are extremely helpful and will assist all the way. Janitha was exceptionally genuinely helpful. The pillows are the best we ever had. I wish we could buy similar one. If you want to unwind and relax in a luxurious environment, then this is the hotel to stay. I would stay again if I ever come back to Sri Lanka/Ella.

Had an excellent stay at the property, staff were amazing and had everything we needed, everything was well maintained, pool was great, highlight was the safari which we booked through the property. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovey short stay in Ella Nature Nest. The view from the room is stunning and the host was so friendly and helpful and provided us with a huge and tasty breakfast on our own private balcony by the room.

We had an amazing stay! Very family friendly, lovely room, great view and delicious breakfast. Location is perfect, walkable to the town but far enough to be nice and quiet.

This was the most amazing place to stay. First and foremost the staff were the most friendly and helpful you could imagine. The facilities at Hantara were incredible with a pool which was immaculately clean. Our lodge was spacious,characterful and spotlessly clean. The staff arranged a safari for us in Udawalawe National Park which is very close by. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone at Hantara.

A new hotel in Haputale, nice comfortable room with a great view, located an easy 5 mins from the train station, WiFi and breakfast were excellent and staff very helpful, I can’t fault this budget hotel. From here we did a trip to Horton Plains and Liptons seat we used a local taxi guy Raju 0775870379 who was excellent.

Very clean room.Lovely pool. The hotel is out of the way near the river. We loved the tranquil setting. Apart from our safari trip (which was arranged by the owner) we didn’t leave the hotel, which suited us because the food provided at the hotel is delicious. The only negative thing I would say is they could do with upgrading the recliners by the pool.

The couple that run this place are so friendly and helpful. Lovely people. The home cooked meal was the best Sri Lankan food we have had on the trip. The safari organised through the hotel is amazing and would recommend it. Please note that this hotel is not plush but it is comfortable and clean and quiet. Perfect for our night there to do the safari. The park is very closeby.
