My recent stay started off on the wrong foot. I was initially assigned a hearing-impaired room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that opened directly to the parking lot—and it was unlocked when I entered. That immediately raised safety concerns, so I went back to the front desk to request a different room.
To their credit, the staff handled the situation quickly and reassigned me without issue. The second room was much more in line with expectations and overall comfortable.
Beyond that initial hiccup, the hotel itself was pretty standard for a Courtyard. It met the great baseline I expect from the brand. The HVAC worked especially well, which made a noticeable difference in comfort during my stay.
Overall, while the first room assignment was concerning and shouldn’t have happened, the staff’s responsiveness helped recover the experience. A fairly average stay with one avoidable misstep.
