Turns out host sent a message to What’s App, which we use very infrequently and had no notice of there being a message. So I would text or send emails, and get no response. "The location is hard to get to, many many may stairs, but beautiful view. Have to get down to The Old Town to get food and drink. 15minutes walk through stairs. Room is basic, clean, provide water, tea, coffee. The owner is very nice let me check in early and sitting at the terrace after check out."
