A Little More Than What You Pay For

You get what you pay for, and maybe a little bit more than that, at this facility. They were the lowest-cost option, and more than met the basic needs that I had for a bed and a shower. There was even enough room for me to exercise in the morning before I left. Four stars!

Perfectly Adequate

I'd say it's about what you'd expect maybe a little better. This is not the Four Seasons, so don't come in thinking it's gonna be four-star accommodations with mints on the pillow. For a roadside motel with affordable rates, it's not bad. Our family of 8 adults rented 4 rooms and slept fine on our way to the OBX. No serious complaints.

We ended up leaving. Did not stay. The office smelled like moth balls. The grounds were not clean or inviting. I wish I could get a refund. Only picked because of the reviews. Only 1 car in parking lot and it was probably an employee.

The room was very dirty. The bathroom corners were crusted in a brownish red filth, there was a spider in the shower. The refrigerator was propped open and the freezer was defrosting, thus making the carpeted floor in front of it soaked. The freezer was thick with ice and unusable. This was a double room and there was a small pouch of shampoo and conditioner, not enough for one person.

Old but clean and economical.

It is a single story motel with three strips, a rather old design but the exterior with clean and fresh and our room was very comfortable with Wifi, a refrigerator and a nice working tv. It is remote with a large Pilot truck stop next door which we used for fuel and coffee. The motel met all of our needs at a very reasonable price.

The room itself was fine - clearly new carpet and bedding. That was nice. There is no closet, only a hanger bar that didn't have any hangers. And the motel itself looks very sketchy; if I had been alone I would not have stayed there. We were right next to the overnight truck parking at the gas station next door.
