"I had a wonderful stay at Pen-y-bryn Lodge.
The property is a beautiful historic building with a peaceful atmosphere, and the room was spacious, spotless, and full of character. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic experience — I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Oamaru."

"Stayed two nights at the property.
Property was clean and great to have a kitchen. Location was close to town but not really walking distance. There is a supermarket and Warehouse close by which was handy. Couple of things could be improved - couches were so hard, really uncomfortable to sit on. The lock on the sliding door was really difficult to use, needs looking at. Tried to let management know on way out at 10am but reception not open! Was good to have a free carpark with the 2 bedroom...

"We were pleased to be located at the rear of the complex so didn’t hear traffic noise.
The suite was situated nicely and clean and the beds were comfortable. Was especially happy to be welcomed by a cat, not sure if it’s part of the complex or neighbour but was a delightful surprise, just want to know its name.
Only there for a night so only interaction with staff was check-in and the person was friendly. Kitchen is small but has the basic supplies to be able to prepare a simple meal."

"One of the best motel we have ever stayed.
The staff is very great, and helpful.
The room is 5 stars. We love the spa bath.
It's relatively new room and very very clean.
Near to the town center, and lots of restaurants.

"Convenient location and comfortable and well appointed room - perfect for our one night stay in Oamaru. Easy parking and ground floor room made access very easy. Would not hesitate to recommend to other travellers. We didn’t use the on site restaurant or bar facilities so can’t comment on that."
