"Easy, free parking and clean updated facilities made our stay enjoyable.
The A/C unit was a bit loud but serviceable. Coffee maker and coffee were good.
Not much in the way of amenities like breakfast or elevator but overall a nice place to stay."

"There were some pros and cons. The construction was a huge disappointment. In the addition of having to drive and walk though the construction areas (mud and maybe nails), we also had to hear the noise in the evening and early morning. We should’ve been notified or at least offered a discount because of the inconvenience.
The private beach was nice, but there were no towels because they ran out. Be prepared to bring some from the hotel. No ventilation in the bathroom, toilet paper isbetween...

"The Hungry Trout Resort is a classic place to stay if you are interested in fishing the Ausable River. Very convenient with private access to the river. The fly shop on premises is excellent with great guides! The Pub was great in years past but is closed now. I really hope it reopens. The upscale restaurant is very nice with great views of the falls. Overall a solid place to stay without the hustle of staying in Lake Placid but close enough to go there for dinner."
