"When we arrived at the property there was no one in the front office. After calling a few different numbers we finally got ahold of someone. They informed us that all reservations have been cancelled because the air conditioning went out. We did not receive a call or any notification of the cancellation. We were left with no other place to stay since it was the 4th of July weekend and no other hotels were available."

"I rarely write negative reviews, but my recent visit to Hunt's Castle in Rockport, Texas was incredibly disappointing and unacceptable. From the moment we arrived it was clear that property maintenance and customer service was not a priority. Checking in was okay, but that was the only thing that was okay. "Very close to the beach access and the convince stores, the hotel was quiet and quite nice. The bathroom was very small and there was a small leak somewhere. The beds were exactly what we needed for a group of 5 but they were uncomfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, when we reported the leak they fixed it right away and their smiles were very welcomed. Very nice property and outdoor amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again."

"The elevator doors need to be wiped clean daily. The microwave in the breakfast area needs to be kept clean. Also, I noticed a guy who I know was not a guest, drive up to hotel and park… walked straight to the breakfast area. Helped himself to a topped plateful of food/orange juice and left… I brought this to the attn to the young man whose name was “Rush”…he acted surprised. Needs to be off cell and be more watchful.
