The hotel was perfectly located for what I needed and I got a good night of sleep each of the nights that I stayed, which is ultimately the most important thing. I was looking forward to using the hot tub after my long journey to get there, but it was not operable. The continental breakfast was disgusting. The eggs looked like watered down cottage cheese with little yellow speckles. The batter to make your own waffle had unidentified “floaty things” in it. The coffee machine was malfunctioning and made it next to impossible to get a cup of coffee. I wasn’t brave enough to try any of the food that wasn’t prepackaged. The room and the cleanliness were fine, I did sleep well and it was very conveniently located. I would stay there again, but have no expectations for additional amenities beyond the room being ok.

Definitely needs a refresh: room was fine, but with cosmetic defects, sounds from other rooms, an uncomfortable bed, and very dated decor. Breakfast was ok but room was small, cramped, and poorly laid out. Nice and helpful staff. The best thing was the location is you’re in town for the Fargo Marathon as I was, but otherwise there are much nicer hotels in Fargo.

Travelers should be aware that this hotel has no elevator and also that there is no need to pay extra online to reserve a non-smoking room because ND requires all rooms to be non-smoking. I had booked on line and when I learned there was no elevator and asked about changing my room to one on the ground floor, I was told there were no rooms in the category I had booked (and prepaid) on the ground floor. I was not offered any help on getting my two cases up or down the stairs (I am white-haired and 83.) I was, however, told very firmly the rules regarding smoking and not to set the thermostat below 65. The room itself was fine and the bed comfortable. There are many nearby restaurants that you can walk to for dinner; the parking lot is cracked and has grass coming up. Breakfast was posted as being served until 11 am. When I went down at 10 am, there was no fresh food set out, just some boxes of cereal, and juice etc. in a cooler. One of the staff came in and started mopping the floor as I was getting some cereal. I have never stayed in an hotel where I felt so unwelcome.
