On the hotel details said it was sound proof, not true u can hear everything next door, the bed is extremely hard . Also we were very disappointed that on the picture it showed it has a sauna which is also not true . The staff at check in were very unfriendly ( please consider that ) it makes huge impact on the stay . Other than that it’s beautiful and very convenient, close to all shops . Historical hotel

Anyway we can perceive that some aspects didn't meet your legitimate expectations and we apologize for that. Regarding sound proof we confirm that the Hotel follows all the standards and we apologize if by the time of your stay you could hear noises: we will work to improve this aspect. Having a not very friendly check-in is the aspect we regret the most, making feel our Guests very welcomed is our top priority and we are sorry if this was not your case.Regarding the sauna we can see that your reservation was for a smart room and not for the wellness, only rooms belonging to the wellness category has the sauna. Right next to the train station, Hotel Baglioni was convenient however the older hotel surprised us with our own balcony and patio. This is an older hotel with beautifully decorated rooms and furniture to match. The rooftop was beautiful with morning breakfast that had a variety of options even for the picky eaters. Then the meal I had for dinner from the restaurant was one of the best I had in Florence. This is a true gem.

If you’re looking for a property that has a lot of history, then this is your place. However, the staff was not helpful at all. We stayed in March and needed to use the air conditioning however, it did not work. We asked three different people at the front desk and they said that they fixed it which they did not. Our room faced the street so you could not open the window and let fresh air in to cool the room down because it was so incredibly noisy. When I try to explain the situation upon check out to the final front desk clerk, he argued with me. Go for the location. Very close to the Duomo and lots of restaurants. Don’t expect great service from the front desk staff. Any of them

Beautiful hotel, service was excellent. It’s an old building, so be prepared for stairs in the hallways between sections and small elevators. Close to museums, cathedral, dining and shopping.

Best Hotel In Florence! Walk from Train station to hotel!!! Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms immaculate! Great amenities. Walk to EVERYTHING. Roof top terrace and dinning is wonderful. HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Romm temperature freezing
Temperature control of the room was non- existent. I asked them several times to make the room warmer, but they couldn’t, or didn’t. The room was freezing. I literally got sick.

The first room we were put into was a long way thru a bunch of corridors from the elevator. The manager generously relocated us to another elevator but it turned out to be noisy. We could hear staff talking, coughing, sneezing, etc starting around 6 in the morning. We may have been adjacent to a laundry area or dumb waiter. The stand alone shower drained very slowly and practically overflowed and there was no shelf in the shower for soap or shampoo. Very poor design. Those are the negatives. On the positive side, the room was very nice and clean and the bed comfortably. The staff was helpful and responsible to our needs.

Excellent hotel, you feel transported to the past but with touches of modernity for convenience. I just noticed a couple of small details of maintenance but over all very nice stay. Staff is friendly, nice and helpful. It is very close to the train station and duomo. Rooms with terrace to the patio are a great option to enjoy a bottle of wine or a dessert.

Staff was absolutely lovely; the hotel itself was laughably confused at what it was. Wanna get a drink on their advertised rooftop bar? Be ready to beg for a drink without having to order a four course meal. Even when every table and the bar is empty. Also be ready to feel embarrassed when you order a drink at the bar they say is open and have every server just stare at you as they pass by and do god knows what. So awkward and weird

This hotel is old and not in a good way. The wifi was poor quality . The door of the room got stuck frequently and we have to try multiple times to get in. The carpets and door are dark old colors. Need update. Not worth the money we spent
