"Clean, spacious and well appointed room. We stayed here 2x in the last month. If we have a chance to stay here again, we would."

Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Forest Grove Hillsboro

"I liked the clean room and amenities inside room.
The pool and spa is closed for County Inspection and cleaning. So no pool and spa for a while. Nobody know when."

Cedartree Hotel Portland Hillsboro
8/10 Good
"Unique property that has incorporated many Japanese style and functional elements. The baths are quite nice and well appointed. Unfortunately, the property has made no progress on its outside pool, as it is still closed/under construction for an extended period of time. The rooms are a good size, but the TVs are too small for the size of the room. Restaurant is unfortunately understaffed, but service is polite and professional. I would stay here, again, but do hope they are able to get outside pool finished for use."

"If you can stay anywhere else. Do. "

Hotel deLuxe
6/10 Okay
"It was understaffed. We were there 4 nights and got no towel change until we called front desk and learned you have to call front desk to get one. I said there’s no notice in room to that effect. They said they just changed the policy that day—a rather obvious lie. No help with luggage. Every response to whether something could be fixed, eg super noisy toilet? Like a jack hammer, was oh it’s a more than 100 year old building. But they’ll look into it—we saved that one for check out because we figured they’d do nothing anyway.
It does have funky charm, art deco style, period movie star photo art. So if you have no needs, don’t care about them not coming into to refresh your coffee station even though you put the “lights, camera, action” tag on your door, and don’t mind a $900 bill for the room, which included daily garage parking and 4 breakfasts for 1, then you’ll be happy staying there. They did leave small apples out at a tea/coffee station in the lobby. So that’s something you get. One or two staff members were nice and tried to be helpful but were outnumbered by those who thought no help was the perfect norm. To be accurate when we arrived and our room was very cold, we got a portable heater and we did get new towels (and a sheet change) after 2 nights because we called front desk. Forgot to mentioned large noisy blower outside one window (which never stopped despite staff claim to contrary) and industrial view out other."

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Portland NW
10/10 Excellent
"The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable and there was a fridge and microwave. It older but well maintained. Loved the pool and hot tub which was open 24 hours making it very easy to enjoy. Breakfast was typical with some hot items like eggs, sausage and waffles and many bake goods, cereal etc. Staff were nice and helpful. The hotel was about 30 minutes from the airport and easy to get to. It’s not a walkable location but a very short drive to the different neighborhoods of Portland where you could park the car and explore. It’s a easy drive to Multnomah which is a must see free attraction."

Larkspur Landing Extended Stay Suites Hillsboro
4/10 Poor
"My room was what I paid for other than some hair that wasn’t mine on the counter.
My biggest complaint is that I am a night shift nurse. I am here in town working, and my hours are 7 PM to 7 AM. I asked for a late checkout after working a long shift so I could sleep before going to work again, and they only tried to give me an extra two hours and charge me $50 for that. I have stayed here before and a late checkout was never an issue or an extra charge, but this time it suddenly became a problem—and because of that, I will not be staying here again.
Not only did I have to pay for a full night when I wouldn’t even be there, but the situation got worse. After I explained that I needed to sleep because I had just worked all night, the front desk still called my room multiple times, completely disrupting the little rest I was able to get.
For anyone working night shift or needing flexibility, I would not recommend this hotel. Consistency and basic consideration for guests’ schedules should be a given, and unfortunately, that was not my experience this time."
