"I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never contacted me about the road closures and as a result put me in a dangerous situation."

It was nice to meet the owners as well and talk with them about the harvest season. Will definitely recommend and will come back the next time we’re in the Douro."
