"Rating: 2.5–3 stars This property sits in an absolutely beautiful location with stunning views of the lake and the hills to the west. The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception...

"The view of the lake is wonderful. The so-called breakfast was some individually wrapped pastries and just one coffee choice (no decaf) and juice boxes for the kids, essentially not a breakfast at all. The room itself is old, very few outlets and no dedicated charger plugs. No clock. No good places to hang one's towel to dry. Bed was fine. If you want a place to stay and do not care about amenities or breakfast, the room is worth the view of the lake."

"Michael greeted us upon arrival with a simple and easy check-in and check-out process. To our surprise, the staff cleaned our room daily. I highly recommend the Gorgeous View Motel for a restful nights sleep and easy access to all that the Watkins Glen area has to offer."

"Very convenient location. Easy walk to Watkins Glen State Park (a must see!) Brian (owner) was friendly, welcoming and engaging. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast (many locally sourced products) was delicious Would highly recommend!"

"This is a very reasonable and affordable place to stay as a solo or family traveler. It's a small independent motel that feels like a throwback to the 80s or 90s with actual metal room keys and decor that feels like your Grandma's spare room. The pool is well maintained and clean; the room I stayed in was decently cleaned but the maid definitely needed to check under the bed after the last guests left. The deluxe king bed room itself was enormous for a family of three just spending one night....

"The property was with walking distance to much Watkins Glen has to offer. The room was as expected and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a hotel/motel. The hotel was not very sound proof but I just pulled up some white noise on my phone to drown it out and slept well"
