Guests should be aware of uninformed credit card charges. The staff was very welcoming during the check-in and got my ID and credit card for incidentals. The room needs better cleaning. There were food crumbs left on counters and furniture by previous guests. The shower enclosure had previous guest hair, and the metal drain lifted against the wall. A blood stain on the pillow was visible through the pillowcase. The bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is good if you can overlook the other details. An unauthorized charge from the hotel was completed as a purchase on my credit card. Called twice to solve the issue. Staff could not find my reservation even though all documentation was provided during the check-in process. After a long and unpleasant conversation, the manager stated that the charge was due to the usage of a safe in the room, and guests are supposed to tell the front desk during checkout if they don't use the safe, so the charge can be reinstated on the card. No information regarding an extra charge for a room safe is provided during check-in or listed on the Expedia website. Instead of trying to solve the issue, the manager blames the guest for booking through a third party, not reading information on the website (when none is listed), and makes sure to say that the guest will be added to the "unfriendly guest list of Expedia." Please add my name and all my family's names because for sure none of us will stay at this hotel again.
